UNTV and Kuya Daniel to Raise Funds for Marawi Heroes through Benefit Concert

KBP Lifetime Achievement awardee and veteran broadcast journalist Kuya Daniel Razon will once again spearhead a benefit concert in support of government troops, this time, for the heroes of the war-stricken Marawi City tomorrow night, Tuesday (October 31) at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In organizing “Songs for Heroes 3: Bayani ng Marawi”, Kuya Daniel calls on partners of UNTV, News and Rescue including those from the entertainment industry and Wish 107.5, to support the deceased families of troops who have died during the rebellion in Marawi, and soldiers who were wounded while in action.

UNTV News and Rescue said the concert will feature performances from various OPM artists, including singing soldiers from AFP and PNP. Those expected to perform include Kris Lawrence, Jason Dy, Darren Espanto, Jett Pangan, Jamie Rivera, Bo Cerudo, Richard Reynoso, Mela, and Leah Patricio.

Other artists who are expected to perform in support of the soldiers are Ney Dimaculangan, Aia De Leon, Chacha Cañete, Plethora Band, Wish 107.5 Wishcovery’s Wishful 20 and KNC Kids.

The multi-awarded veteran broadcast journalist promised AFP that all the proceeds of the concert will go to the heroes of Marawi.

This is the third installment of the Songs for Heroes benefit concert whereby the previous edition were dedicated for the fallen 44 SAF heroes in Mamasapano. Held two years ago, the benefit concert raised an estimated Php6 million for the families of the gallant 44 members of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
